As Drananda Summons makes it back to his Hometown of Columbia SC for the Holidays, we sit down and receive more authentic music insight.

Where do you see yourself as an artist in the next years?

I see myself touring nationally and internationally. I see myself developing partnerships and plans of works that give back to underprivileged communities, I see myself developing teams and other business endeavors to support Summons Productions mission and vision. I may not know the details of where the 5 to 10 years may hold but I’m confident that as I continue to press forward authentically with an honest heart, I am able to receive the blessings and miracles. 

What made you want to become creative?

By becoming creative, I was able to realize that I had a voice to provide to people who are willing to listen. In a world where we are able to decide who we want to be, I chose to allow music to be the heartbeat of my life and to be the story of my legacy. I don’t feel the need to criticize other people‘s work because I am so wrapped up in my own work that I’d rather learn and/or co-create with other Creatives
