Drananda Summons speaks on Takeoff’s Passing

2 Timothy 4:7-8 reads 

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.”

When I reflect on the life-work and success of trailblazing Rapper Takeoff, I am encouraged to never give up. His impactful leadership in Hip Hop, the Culture, and the industry gave permission for a new era of sound and authentic soul. 

Takeoff will be missed by so many, and I will make sure to always keep his impact close to my heart. Rest in power because you have earned it.
